The Lady Pioneer soccer team lost their home opener to Georgia Military College in a high scoring game. The final score was 6-4. The Lady Bulldogs scored first at the 14 minute mark. The Lady Pioneers were able to tie the score at the 36th minute only to go back down at the 37th minute. The ladies tied it up at the 41st minute but Georgia Military scored in the 43rd minute to take a 3-2 half time lead. Georgia Military scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half to go up 5-2. The Lady Pioneers were able to score 2 goal to bring the score to 5-4. With 4 minutes left in the game Lady Bulldogs cleared a ball of the goal line to keep the score 5-4. With under a minute left in the game Georgia Military scored to make the final score 6-4. Sophomore Elizabeth McGee had 3 goals for the Lady Pioneers and Freshman Adahi Alarcon added a goal as well.
Women's Soccer will be back in action on their home turf tomorrow, August 26th at 3pm.
