Led by Three PRs SMC Women’s Cross Country Finishes 13th at AAC Championships
Led by three PR performances, the Spartanburg Methodist College women’s cross country team finished 13th at the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships on Friday.
Junior Polly Addington covered the 6K course at Sequoyah Park in a personal-best time of 27:04.32, earning a 48th-place finish to lead the Pioneers. Fellow junior Anna Altman also set a PR with a time of 29:05.07 to place 61st. The third PR of the day came from sophomore Nsimire Bahongwehre, who finished 64th in 29:56.82.
Newcomers Gabby Jarvis and Elizabeth Byrd rounded out the SMC lineup, placing 66th (30:11.34) and 72nd (32:32.32), respectively.
Milligan captured the team title, with senior Ellen-Mary Kearney winning the individual championship for the Buffs in a time of 19:59.07.
