SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Visiting Tennessee Wesleyan defeated the Spartanburg Methodist College volleyball team, 25-16, 25-22, 25-15, on Friday night inside Bridges Arena.
The Bulldogs (18-8, 10-4 AAC) posted a .216 hitting percentage and capitalized on seven service aces in the win. Alley Hibdon and Amya Sutton each tallied 10 kills, while Savannah Jones added nine for Tennessee Wesleyan.
The Pioneers (11-16, 6-8 AAC) were led by Braelynn Brewington, who finished with nine kills, and Hana Vucinic, who added eight kills and seven digs. Kendall Meinders and Rebekah Martin contributed six and four kills, respectively. Martin also recorded three block assists, while Leilani Campbell added two solo blocks and two block assists.
Next, Spartanburg Methodist will host Bryan College on Saturday at 11 a.m. inside Bridges Arena.
