Bio

A native of Huntington, West Virginia, Justin Harrold joined the Spartanburg Methodist College athletic training staff as a Resident Athletic Trainer in the summer of 2026.

Harrold is a member of the Athletic Training Residency Program through Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. At SMC, he provides athletic training services for the Pioneers' men's basketball and men's volleyball programs while assisting with the cross country and track & field teams.

Harrold earned both a Master of Science in Athletic Training and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Marshall University, where he also completed a minor in psychology. During his time with the Thundering Herd, he worked with the football, baseball, and men's basketball programs, gaining experience in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. He also completed a clinical rotation at a nearby NAIA institution, expanding his experience across multiple levels of collegiate athletics.
