SMC Volleyball Dominates JWU
SPARTANBURG, SC - The SMC Lady Pioneers volleyball team dominated Johnson and Wales University Tuesday night en route to a 3-0 victory, 25-11, 26-24, 25-16.
The Wildcats dropped to 3-9 while the Pioneers improved to 5-11.
The Pioneers were led by Ciara Edward's (Myrtle Beach HS) 13 kills and Alley Greer's (Brookland Cayce HS) 11 kills. Chelsea Smith (Landrum HS) finished the match with six digs.
"We continue to move forward and work on the things that we struggle with. Another major improvement has been a positive change in attitude and 'fight' to want to win," states coach Susie Williams
The Pioneers will be on the road this weekend as they travel to Melbourne, Florida to play in the Brevard CC Invitational.
"This weekend will be a good test to see if we are making positive strides that we need to make against some really excellent competition," adds coach Williams.
