Volleyball Catches a Wave, Defeats Storm
SPARTANBURG - The SMC Lady Pioneers took down the Storm of Davidson County CC on Wednesday during Beach Night in Bridges Arena.
The ladies caught a wave of momentum that led to a 25-16, 25-21, 25-21 win.
In all three games, the Lady Pioneers seemed to get every ball. The win puts SMC at 6-16 for the season.
The Pioneers have the weekend off and prepare to play at Davidson County CC on Oct. 5.
Spartanburg Methodist College has 14 intercollegiate teams that compete in Region X of the National Junior College Athletic Association, which includes colleges in the Carolinas, Virginia and West Virginia.
The College is in its 100th academic year of providing quality education to students in a Christian environment. More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
