Pioneers Sweep Coker JV

HARTSVILLE, SC -- The Pioneers took a doubleheader sweep of the Coker Cobras in Hartsville Thursday afternoon.  

In game one the starter Anthony McNutt (2-1) recorded the win and Marty Gantt went 2-for-3 in the Pioneers' 10-0 win.

In game two, the Pioneers were paced by Reggie Weatherford, 2-for-3, 2 RBI and Sloan Gilliam, 2-for-4, 2 RBI to post a 15-4 win.  

Starting pitcher Christopher Cox (1-0) got his first win of the season.  The Pioneers improved to 16-6 and will be hosting Surry Community College this weekend in a four game series.

Spartanburg Methodist College is in its 99th year of providing quality education to students in a Christian environment.  More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
