Middleton Earns AAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors
SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Spartanburg Methodist College senior guard Destiny Middleton was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Middleton averaged 21.0 points per game as the Pioneers went 2–0 on the week with wins over Columbia (S.C.) and Union Commonwealth. She shot 51.7 percent from the field (15-of-29) and connected on 7-of-13 attempts from three-point range (53.8 percent).
In addition to her scoring, Middleton contributed across the stat sheet, recording seven rebounds, eight assists, seven steals, and four blocks on the week.
The honor marks Middleton’s first weekly award of the 2025–26 season. She and the Pioneers are currently riding a five-game winning streak and will return to action Wednesday night at Brenau in Cleveland, Georgia, with tipoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
