Sophia Outhous Named CAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for a Fourth Time
SPARTANBURG, South Carolina - For the fourth time, this season, Sophia Outhous of the SMC women's cross country team has earned Continental Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Outhous recorded the fourth fastest 5-kilometer time in program history while competing in the NAIA Appalachian Challenge. The Irmo, South Carolina, native crossed the line in 19:01.1 to lead the Pioneers with a 36th place finish out of 190 runners in the meet.
Outhous and the Pioneers are now preparing for the CAC Championships on November 8 in Temple Terrace, Florida. The meet is being hosted by Florida College.
