CJ Terrell Repeats as AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Spartanburg Methodist College freshman forward CJ Terrell was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.
Terrell earned his second consecutive weekly honor after averaging a double-double of 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in a 2–0 week for the Pioneers, highlighted by wins over Reinhardt and Bluefield. Of his 20 rebounds on the week, 16 came on the defensive end, while he also recorded four blocked shots and two steals.
Terrell currently leads the Appalachian Athletic Conference with 36 blocked shots in 22 games this season. The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday night, hosting Milligan at 7:30 p.m.
