Pioneers Post Strong Day Two with School Records and Podium Finishes
The Spartanburg Methodist College women's track and field team posted several strong performances on day two of the 2026 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Track & Field Championships, highlighted by multiple school records and all-conference finishes.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Carson Byrd, De'Nasia Robinson, Da'Sani Kinlaw, and Eva Sapp earned the team's first points of the championship with a standout performance. The group recorded a season-best and school-record time of 48.20 to finish third and earn all-conference recognition.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Da'Sani Kinlaw posted a season-best time of 1:07.28 to finish sixth, while Polly Addington placed 13th with a time of 1:13.09.
Carson Byrd delivered one of the top individual performances for the Pioneers, breaking her own school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.13. Her runner-up finish secured All-AAC honors.
In the field events, McKensley Parks contributed in multiple disciplines, placing 11th in the shot put with a throw of 34-6.75 and adding a sixth-place finish in the javelin with a mark of 102-7.
