SMC Women's Track and Field Begins Season

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. - The NAIA era for the Spartanburg Methodist College men's and women's track and field teams began with the JDL Early Bird on Sunday.

The Pioneers made its debut with entrants in a variety of events against competition at all the various levels.

Sophia Outhous led the Pioneers with a ninth-place finish in the mile with a time of 5:31.73 and teammate Audrey Noel was 14^th in 5:47.16.

Polly Addington posted a pair of team-best performances to lead SMC in the 400m dash (1:08.25) and in the 800m run (2:48.32). Da'ani Kinlaw clocked a time of 8.58 in the 60m dash and 1:08.89 in the 400m dash.
