SMC Beach Volleyball Drops Pair of 4-1 Decisions
Cleveland, Georgia – The Spartanburg Methodist College beach volleyball team dropped a pair of 4-1 decisions on the final day of the TMU Invitational on Friday.
The day began with the Pioneers losing by a 4-1 margin to a Royals of Warner (Florida) squad that is receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll. The winner for SMC came at the No. 5 pair when Rylee Anderson and Tristan Craine teamed up for a win at No. 5 by a 21-19, 22-20 margin.
The second matchup of the saw SMC lose 4-1 to the Mighty Bantams of New College of Florida. The victory for the Pioneers came in a three-set decision as the No. 1 team of Hana Vucinic and Brantlie Price were victorious by a 21-9, 15-21, 15-12 margin.
SMC is 0-5 on the 2024 season and will host Sandhills Community College and Salem College for a triangular on Friday, March 7.
