Bio

Jake Koenig returns for his third season with the Pioneers.  Koenig works with hitters and infielders while also assisting with recruiting. 

During his days as a student- athlete, Koenig was an All-CAA shortstop at UNC Wilmington. He helped the program to a Colonial Athletic Association regular season title and tournament championship in 2012, helping the Seahawks return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008.

Before his time at UNCW, Koenig was a shortstop at SMC and was part of the 2009 Junior College World Series team.

In the summers of 2009-2010, Koenig helped lead the Forest City Owls to two Coastal Plains League championships and the number 1 national ranking by Perfect Game 2009.

Koenig prepped at Greenville High School and received his degree from UNCW in 2012.
