Former Pioneer Nikita Arjun Posts T-16 Finish on WAPT; Continues Professional Rise
Former Spartanburg Methodist College women’s golfer Nikita Arjun continues to build momentum in her professional career, finishing tied for 16th at a Women’s All Pro Tour (WAPT) event in Oklahoma. The result further strengthens her trajectory on the U.S. developmental golf circuit.
Arjun posted rounds of 71-72-75 to secure a steady and competitive finish in a strong professional field. The WAPT serves as a key pathway tour toward the Epson Tour and ultimately the LPGA Tour, offering aspiring professionals consistent competition and advancement opportunities.
Competing against a deep field of emerging professionals, Arjun delivered consistent scoring across all three rounds to finish inside the top 20. Her performance reflects continued progress as she competes regularly across multiple U.S.-based developmental tours.
The tied-16th finish follows a solid stretch of recent appearances, reinforcing her status as a player steadily advancing through the professional ranks.
Arjun competed for Spartanburg Methodist College during the 2014–15 season before transferring to Armstrong State University (now Georgia Southern University), where she earned Second Team All-Conference honors. She ultimately finished her NCAA Division II career ranked among the top 50 players nationally.
She graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies, concentrating in psychology. Later that year, she competed in LPGA Q-School and turned professional in August 2018.
In a 2021 interview, Arjun reflected on her time at SMC, stating: “SMC will always be a special place for me. I made some great memories there with my team and friends. It was possibly my most memorable year of college.”
