Ryan Hunter Named AAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. – Spartanburg Methodist College’s Ryan Hunter has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This marks Hunter’s second weekly honor of the 2025 season. The sophomore led the Pioneers at the USC Upstate Invitational on Saturday, clocking a time of 26:02 to place 55th out of 228 runners in the 8K race.

“Ryan continues to show tremendous growth and consistency every time he steps on the course,” said SMC head coach Jannai Maxwell. “His work ethic and leadership set the tone for our entire team, and this recognition is well-deserved.”
