While at SMC, Trout was selected first team All Region each year and selected the Region 10 Player of the Year in 2009.
"Making it to the college world series is a dream come true and I'm very thankful to have the opportunity. I would not be here without my two great years at SMC under [former] Coach Rick Pauly," she added.
The sixth-seeded University of Georgia will play the defending national champs, the third-seeded Washington Huskies, Thursday, June 3, in Oklahoma City at 9:30 pm. The game will be televised on ESPN.
