Pioneer grapplers prepare for a successful season

New head coach Rob Sater takes over the Pioneer Wrestling program for the 2011-2012 season. Sater (Boiling Springs, SC) looks to rebuild the program and create a winning atmosphere that hasn't existed in the past few years as a whole. The Pioneers also feel they have the pieces in place to compete for a National Title.  " Wrestling is an individual sport in a team setting and we need every individual wrestler to perform to their best ability so the team can win matches and become a regional and national power."

Top wrestlers on this year's team include returners Keyshon Flores, Michael Young, Dallas Phillips, and Jonathan Wright. Freshman to watch for are Daniel Britt, Mikey Clevenger, Tre` Barber, and Jonathan Cloud.

We look to break a lot of the wrestling records that are currently held @ SMC. We have a large teams with a lot of hardworking, talented young athletes, and we are excited about the prospect of a successful upcoming season.
