SMC Competes for Region X Title
Spartanburg, S.C. – SMC Pioneer Men and Women's team competed for the NJCAA Region X crown today at Milliken Park, S.C. The Lady Pioneers had a lot on the line today but fell just short of being awarded Region X Champs. Freshman Madison Chesney lead a charge by finishing as Region Champ with Morgan Kitts not too far behind with an All Region finish of 5th place. But by the end of the race, the women's team could not stop Louisburg's charge to the title.
On the men's side, freshman Logan Easterlin was able to capture an All Region spot by finishing 6th spot.

Post-meet Thoughts
"We battled in the women's race today but just lacked the ability to finish. We had positions during the race but could not hold on to them through the race. We have things to work on and it showed today but I am very proud of the teams efforts." says Head coach, Ken Roach.
