Coach Dan Kenneally has been coaching at Spartanburg Methodist College since 1995. Originally he was hired to be the Director of Soccer, Head Men’s Soccer Coach and Head Men’s Golf Coach. In 1997 Coach Kenneally also became Head Women’s Soccer. After winning Coach of the Year for Golf in 2003, he retired from coaching golf. In 2011 Kenneally’s duties changed again, he became the Athletic Recruiting and Retention officer and remains the Women’s Head Soccer Coach.
While coaching the Men’s Soccer team Coach Kenneally compiled a record of 146-104-22. He was named Region X Coach of the Year in 1995, 2000 and 2010. In 2010 was a finalist for National Coach of the Year, winning the NSCAA/Mondo NJCAA Division I South Coach of the Year. Since taking over the Women’s Soccer team in 1997, he has comprised a record of 126-97-17. Coach Kenneally has won Region X Coach of the Year for the women 1999, 2004, 2005 and 2010.
Coach Kenneally is originally from Rockville Centre, NY. He went to college at North Carolina State. After suffering an injury Kenneally transferred back to New York where he received a two year degree from SUNY Farmingdale. He went on to Alfred University to earn a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. While at SUNY Farmingdale he started coaching goalkeepers. He was named an assistant coach at Alfred University. After Alfred University Kenneally was an assistant at Greensboro College before coming to Spartanburg Methodist College to be the head coach.
Coach Kenneally is married to Marissa Kenneally and has two children Thomas and Ashley
