Pioneer men ranked 15th in the NJCAA

First year head coach Rich Weber and the 2011 mens soccer program have had their share of of awards this season. 2011 Regular season Region X Champions, 2011 Region X Tournament Champions, the Region X player of the year and recent Real Salt Lake draft pick Sebastian Velasquez. Now the Pioneers are presented with a award that recognizes their hard work and dedication.

The Pioneers were ranked 15th in the Nation in the final NJCAA rankings. SMC (16-4) lost a heartbreaker to Darton College in the district championship game.

SMC found the back of the net 100 times this season and only allowed 30 goals. 13 players will return for their sophomore season next fall.
