SMC Defeats Clinton

Rock Hill, SC - The SMC Pioneers traveled Wednesday night to Clinton Junior College and prevailed 70-59 behind a balanced scoring attack.

Mario Pendarvis (Summerville HS) led the Pioneers with 14 points and 10 rebounds. 

DJ Brown (Wren HS) scored 13 and CJ Gleaton (Pendleton HS) chipped in 12 to pace the Pioneers (18-7, 5-4 Region X) to an important road win.

The Pioneers return to the road and travel to Cape Fear CC for a Saturday evening game.

Spartanburg Methodist College has 14 intercollegiate teams that compete in Region X of the National Junior College Athletic Association, which includes colleges in the Carolinas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The College is in its 100th academic year of providing a quality education to students in a Christian environment. More than 90 percent of SMC graduates continue their education at other institutions of higher learning.
