Morgan Cox makes 2011 Louisville Slugger NFCA All Region

Ninety-Seven players from 42 different institutions have been named to one of six different 2011 Louisville Slugger NFCA/NJCAA Division 1 All Region teams, announced by the NFCA association. 

Cox who hit .492 for the season and stole 35 bases led the Pioneers in multiple offensive categories this past year. Cox was one of six Pioneer players who made the Region X team. 

Cox earned the second team award by being nominated and voted upon by coaches in the NFCA South region.

"Morgan became a go to player for us this season. She was a dangerous weapon in our leadoff spot and easily turned a walk or single into a double with her speed by stealing second. She caused a lot of problems for the other team and I am very happy we have her back this season.." Some four-year program needs to grab her quick and she'll make a difference for them on and off the field."
