The 2011-2012 season will be Kurt Owings' second as head coach of the SMC men's golf team. He previously served for two years as an assistant coach with the program.  He is a Spartanburg native and a Dorman High School graduate.

Owings is a graduate of Anderson University, where he was a 4-year starter for the university's men's golf team.
