Crockett-Pendarvis lead Pioneers to ten point win!

Both Ronell Crockett and Mario Pendarvis recorded double digit point and rebound games to help lead the Pioneers to a 63-53 victory over Brunswick Community College. Crockett, a freshman from Anderson, SC, scored a game high 21 points and added 11 rebounds on the night. Pendarvis recorded his 4th straight double double by scoring 12 points and pulling down a game high 12 rebounds on the night.

"Ronell had a great all around game," head coach Jeff Brookman said. "His offense along with a strong team defensive effort led us to a win against a very talented and well coached Brunswick team. I am very proud of my guys for playing hard and competing for 40 minutes."

With the win, the Pioneers improve to 16-4 on the year and 4-1 in Region play. Next up for SMC is first place Clinton CC on Thursday, February the 2nd. Clinton currently holds a half game advantage over the Pioneers in the Region standings.
