Rush, Pioneers take down Anderson JV's

Hot Shooting lifts Pioneers Past Anderson University JV

Five Pioneers scored in double figures on Tuesday night as SMC cruised past Anderson University JV team by the score of 99 to 40. Cory Rush led all scorers with 14 points. Also scoring in double figures were Dajohn Rowland (13), Mario Pendarvis (12), Demetrius Williams (12) and David Lighty (10). The Pioneers shot a blistering 60% from the field and made ten three pointers for the game.  

"The guys were focused from the tip," said head coach Jeff Brookman. "The effort and intensity with which all 13 guys played was very encouraging. I hope that we can continue to stay mentally engaged and take things one practice and one game at a time."

The Pioneers will play host to Erskine College JV on Thursday night at 7PM.  This game was moved to SMC because of a scheduling conflict with Erskine's gym. Come out and support your SMC Pioneers men's basketball program!
